Resource Share at the ABA Legal Educators’ Colloquium

From FFOI Sharon Press and Bobbi McAdoo:

Dear Colleagues,

The Annual ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Conference is almost here and that means it is once again time for us to collect information for the annual Legal Educators’ Resource Share!

This year’s event will take place on Friday, April 8 from 4:45 pm – 6:00 pm in the Lenox Ballroom on the 2nd Floor of the Conference Hotel.

For those of you who are new to the event, think of it as an “in-person listserv” with the added opportunity for attendees to follow-up with colleagues in real time.   Legal educators (you all!) describe, in a minute or two, a really helpful resource you use in your classes – a website, simulation, TED talk, etc,….  The description includes where/how to find the resource and how to use it/debrief it, etc., in your ADR-related classes.  The short time allotment means a lot of great information from 30-40 people is gathered in a very short time.

Last year, many of you sent the information you planned to share ahead of time to us, and that enabled us to provide some structure to the session, i.e., some grouping of similar resource categories.  So, we encourage you to do this again.  Please send the information you plan to share directly to Sharon by Friday, March 25 and we will plan accordingly.   In fact, just send it right NOW!

You also are encouraged to bring half page handouts to distribute at the Resource Share describing your teaching resource/tool.  All information is collated and posted to the legal educators’ listserv after the conference so everyone is able to reap the benefits of this session.

Thanks in advance for your support… we look forward to seeing you soon!
