From WFOI Ellen Deason:
The AALS Section on Alternative Dispute Resolution is seeking nominations for the second annual Section Award for best article published in print or online in 2018 in the field of ADR. To be eligible, the article must be already published in a law review or other academic journal bearing a 2018 volume date, or accepted for publication in a volume that will bear a 2018 volume date. Works-in-progress not yet accepted for publication or those accepted for publication in a 2019 volume or later are not eligible. Books and book chapters are not eligible.
The Section’s 2019 Executive Committee will consider several criteria in selecting the winner, including:
- The relevance of the work to the field of dispute resolution;
- The degree of contribution of the work to the field of dispute resolution;
- The originality and quality of the research reflected in the work; and
- The quality and clarity of the writing.
Nominations/submissions should be sent electronically in Microsoft Word or PDF format to the section’s Chair Regent, Ellen Deason, at deason.2@osu.edu by March 1, 2019 (midnight EST). In the subject line, please write: “AALS ADR Section 2018 Article Nomination.” Authors may nominate/submit their own articles; co-authored articles are welcome, too. Articles authored by the leadership of the Section are eligible for nomination, but that author will no longer be eligible to judge submissions. If you have any questions, please contact Ellen Deason at the e-mail address listed above.
The winning article will be announced by the end of the 2019 spring semester. We look forward to hearing from you!
