I am passing along a note from the organizers of Mediation Settlement Day in New York City:

I would like to encourage you to invite your students (and possibly offer extra credit), colleagues and friends to attend our Annual Mediation Settlement Day Kick-Off Event on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the New York City Bar (42 West 44th Street, New York, NY) from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. where creator and executive producer of USA Network’s Fairly Legal Michael Sardo will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Mediation in the Mainstream” with a focus on the recent portrayal of mediation on television shows. 

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Attendees will receive 2.5 CLE credits. This will be an excellent learning experience for students. 

 Note: If you haven’t already, please sign-up now using the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM and confirm your “Annual” or “Lifetime” sponsorship commitment. Also, on the form please indicate whether you plan to have a shared table at the Kick-Off Event’s Open House to showcase your organization’s programs. As plans for the event are well underway, your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.
