Oral Arguments Now Available

Maybe this isn’t news to the rest of you, but I just learned that the Supreme Court is now making oral arguments (both audio and transcripts) available really soon after the arguments take place.  It used to be that we had to wait years to get them.  Now, you can listen on read right away at: http://www.supremecourt.gov/oral_arguments/argument_audio.aspx.

Want to hear or read what happened in the AT&T v. Concepcion oral argument, for example?  Here and here.

Now, if you want to know WHY the Court did what it did, well…

  1. I like the new feature on the Oyez website that will give you a rolling transcript along with the audio of the oral argument. For those (like me) who are bad with voices, the transcript identifies which Justices are asking questions.
