Teaching Multiparty Negotiations

Russell Korobkin and I have been batting around ideas for how to teach multiparty negotiations–both new cases and particularly pedagogical ideas–and we are looking for some additional input and advice.  So this is a call to those of you who have ideas, have taught multiparty negotiations as part of your class or separately, and are willing to share.  Help!  Feel free to respond on the blog or contact me directly.  Thanks so much, Andrea

  1. Andrea,
I have been playing around with a few different approaches over the last three years in my Environmental Dispute Resolution law school course and also a Dispute System Design course I teach with Cathy Costantino for professionals. I would love to talk about it.

  2. Dear Andrea: Larry Susskind and I did a “game” on multiparty negotiation at the 2007 CPR Annual Meeting and it was made into a tape. Both the tape and the role plays of the “game” are available through the Harvard PON. Best wishes — Peter
