Dennis Kucinich Settles Dispute Over Olive

According to CNN (report here) Dennis Kucinich has settled his lawsuit against the House of Representatives cafeteria, which allegedly served him an olive mistakenly advertised as sans pit.  The pit in question caused the member of congress in question to chip his tooth, the story reports, and the MoC then had to undergo what sounded like a really awful sequence of dental surgeries, etc.  The settlement apparently covers his out-of-pocket expenses stemming from the incident.

I can’t find anything all that novel in the entire account of this simple tort claim… except this: Kucinich said, “To clarify, no dental expenses were covered by any health plan, nor did I have dental insurance that covered the injury.”  It doesn’t really have anything to do with ADR, but seriously?  Our Members of Congress don’t have dental coverage?  I’m all for minimizing taxpayer expenses, etc etc.  But seriously…
