I find it extremely interesting that the coverage of Mr. Jobs’ passing has almost entirely ignored the anecdotal stories that had been swirling around (during his life) of his management style. He was obviously brilliant, innovative, and a master marketer, but there are stories suggesting he was as abusive of a manager as America has seen in decades. I wonder if our society’s love of his products has some impact on giving his memory a break in this context.
