Straus Institute Symposium – ADR at the Roots on April 23

From Sukhsimranjit Singh:

On behalf of the Straus Institute, I am delighted to invite you to join us this Friday, April 23, at our upcoming symposium, ADR at the Roots: Exploring Diversity and Equity in the Field.  Full event and registration information may be found here.

This event aims to bring together scholars, thinkers, and practitioners to consider the role of dispute resolution in advancing fairness and justice in our field.  Together, we hope to discuss the potential for ADR to devise innovative solutions that empower marginalized communities, as well as its limitations of accessibility and process that may impede equitable outcomes.

Our distinguished panelists include Professors Lisa B. Amsler, Isabelle Gunning, Jacqueline Font-Guzman, Homer La Rue, Andrew Mamo, and Sharon Press.

Professor Phyllis Bernard will deliver the opening keynote for the program and Professor Blake Morant will deliver the closing remarks in a special ceremony which will include Hon. Daniel Weisntein.

The full agenda and speaker bios may be found on the registration page.

We look forward to having you join the program and share your insights on this important and timely topic for our field.  Please don’t hesitate to reach me if you have any questions related to the event. Thank you and best wishes.
