Symposium / Conference on Comparative Law and International Dispute Resolution at Missouri, Oct. 17-19

From my colleague, S.I. Strong:

In about six weeks’ time (Oct. 17-19), the University of Missouri will host the American Society of Comparative Law’s Annual Meeting.  The theme of the meeting is “Comparative Law and International Dispute Resolution Processes,” and panelists will be addressing a variety of DR mechanisms in cross-border contexts.   In addition to our plenary speakers and concurrent panel speakers, we will also be hosting a major works in progress conference the day prior to the annual meeting.   All in all, we will have about 60 speakers from nearly 20 countries.

The event should generate a great deal of discussion about dispute resolution in a variety of contexts, and anyone, regardless of whether they are an ASCL member, is welcome to attend.  You can register for the event on the website indicated below, which also has the names of presenters and paper topics on three separate pages – the program page with plenary panelists, the concurrent panels page and the works in progress page.  Hotel blocks will be expiring soon, but there are lots of hotels in a variety of price ranges in Columbia, which you can find with minimal effort.

Here’s the link to the event and registration page.

We hope to see many of you there!

All best,
Prof. S.I. Strong
