Every year at the ABA DR Section Spring Conference there are several awards that get a lot of attention – for example, this blog announced that Charlie Craver will deservedly receive the Outstanding Scholarly Work Award and the Divided Community Project at (the) Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law also will deservedly receive the Lawyer as Problem Solver Award. And some famous guy named Thomas Friedman (New York Times) is receiving the D’Alemberte-Raven Award.
Less well publicized are the DR Section Chair Awards. These awards are given to those who the Section Chair believes should be recognized for their efforts working on Section programs and projects over the years. Last week the Section’s Chair Ben Davis (Toledo) announced this year’s award winners, two of whom are law prawfs, and all three should be very familiar to regular blog readers. This year’s award winners are:
Alyson Carrel (Northwestern) who has planned the annual meeting for the last 7 years or so among other things
Harold Coleman (AAA) who is never afraid of saying yes to any project, and
our very own John Lande (Missouri) who has chaired several Section task forces over the years,
Congratulations to all three for this recognition, and thank you for all you’ve done to make the Section the wonderful institution that it is.
Congratulations!
