From GFOI Tom Stipanowich:
Dispute Resolution Friends,
Our colleague and friend Prof. Peter Robinson recently stepped down as Managing Director of the Straus Institute after serving in administrative capacities here for 27 years; since 2006, he and I have functioned as co-directors of the Institute—surely one of the happiest and most fulfilling times in my own professional life. We owe Peter a huge debt of gratitude for the work he has done to help further Straus’s programs and reputation. Peter is looking forward to returning to a full-time faculty role while also continuing to be engaged with our vaunted training programs and partnerships with other institutions here and abroad, and working on a book on apology.
I am delighted to announce that Prof. Sukhsimranjit Singh has been appointed the new Managing Director of Straus. Professor Singh came to the Institute in 2016 as an Associate Director of the Institute and Director of the LL.M. Program. He brought with him nearly a decade of teaching and administrative experience as the founding Associate Director of Willamette School of Law Center for Dispute Resolution, where he ran the LL.M. program and also taught at the school of management. He is an excellent trainer, teacher and mediator. We are thrilled that Sukhsimran will now take on expanded responsibilities, managing the day-to-day operations of Straus and joining our leadership team.
Please join me in congratulating Professors Robinson and Singh.
Best regards,
Tom

Tom actually titled his announcement, “Robinson Steps Down and Singh Steps Up.” As far as I am concerned, this is a step up for both of them.
