ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition

Registration is now open for the ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition.  This competition promotes greater knowledge in arbitration by simulating a realistic arbitration hearing. Participants prepare and present an arbitration case, including opening statements, witness examinations, exhibit introductions, evidentiary presentations, and summations. Experience what it is to be a professional, competent, and ethical advocate.  More information on the competition can be found at: https://americanbar.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_5vzn0zKhg5ppbTL and http://www.americanbar.org/groups/law_students/events_competitions/practical_skills_competitions/ac.html

The team of Maureen Weston, David Larson, and myself are proud to be on the ABA subcommittee that oversees this competition.  We are very proud of our arbitration competition problem.  This year’s problem involves a contract to arbitrate a data security breach, a topic that has been in the news quite frequently lately!  We are also proud of the manner in which the competition is administered at the Regional and National levels, and we are personally happy to take any questions you may have about the competition.  You are also free to contact the ABA at competitions@americanbar.org with any questions.
