As the summer begins and a lot of us are planning our research and writing, please keep in mind that the 9th Annual AALS Alternative Dispute Resolution Section’s Works-in-Progress Conference will be on October 23 & 34, 2015, at the Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas.
As many of the readers on this blog know, the AALS Works-in-Progress is a wonderful opportunity for dispute resolution scholars to present works at any stage from half-baked idea (or not even ready to go into the oven) to papers that have been accepted for publication and are still in the editing phase. The Works-in-Progress Conference consistently provides a supportive and collegial environment to present new scholarship.
This year, for the first time, the Texas A&M University School of Law will also be providing up to $800 in travel stipends for up to five junior faculty. We will set a deadline for applications for the travel stipend (not yet!) and give priority to junior faculty who have never before attended the AALS ADR Section Works-in-Progress conference. We will award the travel stipends on a first-come-first-served basis. If any of the five stipends remain after awarding the stipends to junior faculty who have not yet attended, the remaining stipends will be awarded to junior faculty who have attended before, also on a first-come-first-served basis. For more information visit: law.tamu.edu/ADR wip.
Stay tuned, we will announce registration and application information on Indisputably closer to the conference date.
For now, please mark your calendars and make plans to enjoy a wonderful conference and Texas A&M hospitality!
Tatiana,
Everyone is most welcome. In previous years scholars from outside the USA have participated and made the event all the richer for their involvement.
Is this even solely for the US scholars or researcher from Europe can also take part?
