From Glen Parker at Cardozo, below is an announcement about a writing competition in conflict resolution open to students in the Tri-State area or from that region:
The ACR-GNY has organized a Student Writing Competition to coincide with its 2013 Annual Conference being held on June 20, 2013. The goal of the competition is to solicit scholarly work addressing the theme of this year’s conference, “Mainstreaming Creative Conflict Resolution”, and to promote meaningful student involvement in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Indeed, we hope to “mainstream” ADR in part by offering rewarding ways for a younger generation to participate in this growing field. To this end, we have broadened the scope of the writing competition by opening it up to three separate and distinct categories of students: Undergraduate, Graduate and Law. We will be offering 1st Place prizes to winners in each category. For a complete description of the competition, please visit www.acrgny.org/student_writing_competition_2013.
