Call for Participation: Cambridge 2011

St. John’s is seeking participants for a conference on international employment dispute resolution next summer at Cambridge University, Cambridge, England. The conference is called “Worlds of Work: Employment Dispute Resolution Systems Across the Globe,” and will be held on July 20-23, 2011. It is hosted by our Center for Labor & Employment Law in conjunction with our Carey Center for Dispute Resolution, the NYU Center for Labor and Employment Law, and the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations.  Our goal is to bring together prominent scholars in international labor law and dispute resolution to address a wide array of issues surrounding international work-related disputes.  Confirmed speakers so far include Sam Estreicher, Bill Gould, Ted St. Antoine, and Tom Stipanowich, among others.

If this seems like something of interest, check out our online Call for Participation, which provides more details about the conference’s themes, sponsors, logistics, cost, etc. In a nutshell, we are soliciting proposals and then we plan to organize panels around the themes that emerge from the proposals. Proposals are due January 15 and selection decisions will be made by February 15 (see the Call for more info about submitting proposals). The conference papers will be published in the St. John’s Law Review.
