The Restorative Justice in Adult Courts Committee of the Missouri Restorative Justice Coalition is sponsoring a symposium on Restorative Justice in Adult Criminal Courts on Friday Nov. 13, 2009, at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  During the morning plenary session experts in the field, both academics and practitioners, will present papers on restorative justice in adult courts.  The workshops in the afternoon will educate practitioners about how they might use restorative justice.  During the late afternoon session all those in attendance from the same circuit will participate in a brainstorming session to develop a plan for implementing restorative justice practices within their jurisdictions. The University of Missouri Center for Dispute Resolution and the Peace Studies Department are co-sponsoring the symposium.  For details, see http://www.morjc.org/eventsandtrainings.htm
