An Introduction . . . .

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you may have noticed a new name listed in the contributors column on the left hand portion of the screen.  My name is Art Hinshaw and I’m a Clinical Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where I act as the Director of the Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program.  I am honored and humbled to be invited to participate in this blog with people for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration.

Most of my posts will involve mediation and negotiation (my two specialty areas) in a variety of settings.  Besides the typical academic interests – new “must read” articles, musings on various mediation and negotiation topics and highlighting ADR conferences – I will blog about ADR issues in the news.  For example, I am always interested in various international negotiations that are going on and how negotiation principles apply to them, and I find labor negotiations to be fascinating.  Additionally, I hope to bring a touch of humor now and again.

Thanks again to my colleagues here and I look forward to my new role as a blogger.
